Goodbye Mamacita

Goodbye Mamacita...Good luck with your new forever home....I will miss you :(
I swear to God, I am never doing this foster thing again! *sniff sniff*

I am now left with poor little Mr Hissy Pants! Who is right now hiding some where in my basement afraid of everything. I don't know why he's this way?? He has known me since he was born but still runs away and hisses at me? He's such a cute little devil though!

  1. I'm so sorry you won't have Mamacita in your home...anytime we loose a pet, it just hurts.
Give a few cries, remember the fun times and Mr. Hissypants will adjust in time...of course, I think his hissing at you is here to stay, but then, would you want him any other way?

  6. I'm so pleased Mamacita has a forever home even though you are sad to see her go. Mr. Hissypants on the other hand appears to be your to keep.

  8. Hey everyone, I've had Mr. Hissy in the house with me for 24 hours and he has now stopped hissing at me, he's still hissing at my other cats. But any progress is good stuff!

  9. Mary, I have a kitty named Muffin who looks just like Mr. Hissypants, we adopted her and another kitty about a year and a half ago when she was 4 months old.
Muffin was born on the street and was VERY scared of people, the shelter suggested we get a big dog crate for her and keep her in that for a while till she got used to us and the house otherwise she would have just hid and not come out, she was really afraid, but I would bring her out and feed her on my lap and pet her a lot gently, and she came around and in 2 1/2 weeks she came out of her "house".
She kept making progress and in not too long she was less and less afraid, she is the sweetest most loving kitten and is still skittish over loud noises or strangers but adores us and our other kitty Patches.

You don't need the crate, but know all it will take is a little time and patience and lots of love, but it's worth it, I know my Muffin kitty is worth it and I am sure Mr Hissypants will be too! Just be patient with him, and gentle and he will come around I am sure, I am glad he stopped hissing at you, it may take more time with the other kitties but he should grow to love them too. Some kitties are just more afraid than others. Good Luck! He is adorable! :O)
